Life goes on

So it looks like I skipped a month. I'm sure there are some people waiting for new pictures, but I've probably spent too much time on Facebook lately to put them up. Well, obviously a lot has happened in the last month.

As far as the mom and the dad go, nothing new is really happening. Same old, same old for me. The hubby has started running on the treadmill now though. He's only been doing it a week, but he says he's planning on sticking with it. It would be nice to have a running partner when the spring comes. I really need to get on the treadmill, but I just hate running on that thing. It's nothing like outside.

We've also been having a fun time hanging out with our friends, especially around the holidays. We ended the year and started the new year with bacon. We've also been having many Sunday lunches at Culvers after church with another family. I think when they see our families with our 6 kids coming, they want to run and hide. For some reason, no matter how busy it gets, no one ever sits by us?

Big-G has been doing great. We are still home schooling, and he is almost done with Kindergarten. We'll probably start the 1st grade in the next few months and just take it slow. He is already reading the 1st grade readers, and seems to be pretty good at all the subjects. I figure I might as well let him keep learning as long as he's in the mood for it. He's also still enjoying his home school group on Tuesdays. I have started taking him to Rainbows at our church on Wednesday nights. It's not the most convenient for me (I work 2nd shift), but he LOVES it. His teacher is amazing, and I've never seen him enjoy anything so much.

Middle-G is thriving as well. He is fully recovered from his surgery and doing so well. He has certainly been enjoying socializing with his friends recently, and especially his favorite little friend, Miss L. I've been trying to work on his colors and shapes, etc. with him, but he's not too interested. He does know his birthday though, and is looking forward to that in a couple weeks. He is always saying things that make me laugh. He's a very interesting little boy!

Little-G is a HANDFUL! I think I spend the majority of my time following him around and cleaning up his path of destruction. I can't even count how many times a day I have to take him off a table top. The Christmas tree has been a challenge with him to say the least. He is a funny little guy, always smiling and laughing. He laughs hysterically whenever you lay him down for bed or a nap. That's part of why he's so hard to discipline. Nothing gets him down. He is absolutely the loudest and most rambunctious child I have ever seen!

We all definitely enjoyed our Christmases this year - Going up north and staying in the cabin was the best. Being with all the family at once is wonderful. It is so peaceful and beautiful up there. Big-G even said he liked it better than our own house, but he just loves taking trips. He cries whenever we have to go home. We also loved our Disney vacation to Florida that we took before Christmas. Middle-G made us wait in EVERY line to meet a character. He had to hug them all. We certainly weren't home very many days in December. It was nice to finally put the suitcases away for a while.

I'll try to put a few new pictures, and hopefully I won't wait so long next time.
