Today was Middle-G's first haircut - yes at 2 years old he is just now having his first haircut. I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but he was just getting too scraggly. We're going to have their pictures taken on Tuesday, so it was time to get cleaned up. You know the saying "fool me once, shame on you, fool my twice..." Well, he wasn't about to be fooled again. He has had some not-so-good experiences with things that cut, so he was going to fight this no matter what. The poor guy screamed his guts out the whole time. I gave him a sucker to try to pacify him, but he just screamed anyway. He had snot and tears running down his face and sucker everywhere, and of course there was hair stuck to it all... very gross. It was all worth it though because he looks so cute now with his little boy haircut.

A few shots of the boys together. They were in an especially agreeable mood, which is unusual at supper time. We spent some time making music with the measuring cups. Middle-G ended up breaking that handles of 2 of them.
